Latasha Matthews, PMHNP-BC

Latasha C. Matthews, known as "Tasha", was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She attended St. Xavier University and received her Bachelor's degree in nursing. While working as a Registered Nurse for 26 years, she achieved the highest level on the clinical ladder, being a Clinical Nurse IV in the Bon Secours Mercy Health system for 19 years in Richmond, VA. She became a Charge Nurse at St. Mary's Hospital in the Medical Surgical/Oncology Unit for 14 years and became nationally certified in Medical/Surgical Nursing and Oncology Nursing. 

She also worked at Richmond Community Hospital as a Charge Nurse in the Behavioral Health Unit for five years. She pursued her Master's degree at Virginia Commonwealth University to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau National Honors Society. 

Tasha provides direct psychiatric services to children and adults ages 8 and up. She provides medication management resulting in improved medication adherence and mental health outcomes. She provides holistic care to improve the mind, body, and soul.
