Robert L. Seward, M.D.

Dr. Seward grew up in Petersburg, VA, attended Woodberry Forest High School and graduated from the University of Virginia as an Echols Scholar. After completing both medical school and residency in the Department of Psychiatric Medicine at UVA, where he was Chief Resident, he moved to Richmond to join the Tucker Psychiatric Clinic in 1999.

With a special interest in psychopharmacology and the biological aspects of treatment, he provides medication management and psychiatric evaluations for adult patients. He has expertise in caring for patients with depression, anxiety, panic disorder, bipolar disorder attention deficit disorder as well as many other emotional conditions. He is the psychiatrist for Westminster Canterbury and also enjoys helping patients ages 18 and up. As an expert in the field of geriatric psychiatry, he also works with patients with cognitive impairments such as delusions, dementia and psychosis.
